"Blarin' Tuba"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

its at the low end
of musical trends
today
i have to hide my horn away
the things weighs a ton
hisses from everyone
it wails
it never fails

a thing you can blow without reeds
i bet, deep down, you envy me
i'm gettin' down down down
low as i please
how i blew
blarin' tuba
ohhhhhhhh

brass, oversize
large lungs, advised
not wee
you need a good set, you see...uh-huh
you must be strong
drag it along
if game
you'll find fame

and if a trombone don't do the trick
a bigger kind of horn, you must pick
you're gonna learn learn learn
learn it real quick
oooh...blarin' tuba....ohhhhh....yeah

bellow...mellow
the teacher said
get down...deep down
polkas ?...a few
i think i may play the blues, too

play all night
and all the next
cramped, with it on my back
and i ain't got no stool
silly silly fool

and if a trombone don't do the trick
a bigger kind of horn, you must pick
you're gonna learn learn learn
learn it real quick
oooh...blarin' ...blarin' tuba.....yeah !

It's got a five-octave range. Hilarious title.

I agree with John...I was L-ing OL at the title alone...but the whole thing also delivered. It's no secret that I envy you, Alvin...this is perfection...=)

Sidenote...whenever I hear the OS, I think of the scene (in which this OS is playing) in Charlie's Angel's when Lucy Liu is pretending to be an efficiency expert...and all the nerdy tech guys are following her around. I totally imagined one of them singing this parody...which, at least for me, made it even funnier...

no I don't see any subversive sexual undertones in this - pure as the driven snow, alvin, and yes, a great OS - 555
