Song Parodies -> Antagonist Congress
| Original Song Title: | "American Woman" |
| Original Performer: | Guess Who |
| Parody Song Title: | "Antagonist Congress" |
| Parody Written by: | ParodyKeet |
I may have set this tune to words before but I'm on a political roll in
the name of dumping our present Kaiser....
the name of dumping our present Kaiser....
Antagonist Congress.... a subtle threat this fall
Antagonist Congress.... will Balkanize us all.
It doesn't matter who we elect
To fill the seat of the President,
If we pick Edwards to fit the bill
But still we Newt-ra-lize him on the hill,
If Kerry wins it fair and square
But there's still party poopers there
No progress.... the way it's been for years.
Antagonist Congress.... I'm holding back my tears.
Antagonist Congress.... a stalemate from the first
Antagonist Congress.... soap opera at its worst
Great if you make a hundred grand a year -
Just no hope for those making less, I fear.
They've made the budget look so very lean
Some desperate people still want to vote for Dean.
Double-yoo's left us aghast.
When will he go home at last?
His progress.... leaves most of us behind
It's Double-yoo's Congress.... it flabbergasts the mind.
Don't... vote the ticket split, vote the ticket split, no, no, no
Don't wanna be complacent, no, mustn't be complacent....
Not Dubya.... Not clones....
Not Dubya.... Not clones....
No child left behind through stockholders' greed!
Look the oil cartels right in the eye, tell them what we really need!
No hospitals gonna close, no schools gonna belly up,
No outsourcing overseas, just fixing this country up! Progress!
No more antagonist Congress....
Antagonist Congress.... will Balkanize us all.
It doesn't matter who we elect
To fill the seat of the President,
If we pick Edwards to fit the bill
But still we Newt-ra-lize him on the hill,
If Kerry wins it fair and square
But there's still party poopers there
No progress.... the way it's been for years.
Antagonist Congress.... I'm holding back my tears.

"Newt-ra-lize him"... good stuff. But actually, having a Dem in the White House with a Republican Congress might be the most sane solution. Otherwise, too many idiots get to push their agenda through.
I'm not real big on presidential parodies, but this is quite good.I really got a kick out of the way you spelled W also, lol. For a political parody/song to keep me entertained-that is really saying something.Keep up the good work! TC :-)
"Kaiser"..."roll"...that joke's as old as the hills. Or at least the Hill. Meanwhile, we still have ONE idiot pushing his agenda through, and I don't mean Mike Bloomberg.
