| Parody Song Title: | "Symptoms of Flu" |
| Parody Written by: | Paul Robinson |
FYI - "Crystal" is a really beautiful Fleetwood Mac song from the mid-70's...it was on the album before "Rumours"...
You can always spot
the first initial symptoms
head hurts awful
feel screwed
have a fever
I looked around
the whole office
was coughing
all around
nose's stuffed
eyes were puffed
and their sinuses
yes, they were pounding
had the flu
and that soon it would
be my turn, too
my nose would
soon be running
muscles ache and my head
would be pounding
my ass would
sure be dragging
I can't breathe
cannot breathe
need some tea
yeah...
Then the stages of flu
the pains
your stomach aching
all you can eat
is clear soup
and it seems tasteless
then snot runs down
just like water
it's flowing
right on down
like a hose
from my nose
it is driving
driving me bonkers
this damned flu
all the aching
head pounding
it's screwed
It's driving me
freaking bonkers
Now I'm sneezing out
phlegm from my honker
my ass it
still is dragging
I can't breathe
cannot breathe
Need relief
yeah
need relief
yeah...
{Background sounds of draining nasal passages, sniffling, coughing, hacking and sneezing
out to fade}
{Singer coughs, sneezes, and talks - complaining how miserable he feels out to end fade}

ARRRHHH MATEY, are ye sure 'tisn't a touch o' the SCURVY ???
SCURVY!??? Aye, could be, matey...d'ya think that could be causin' the pain in me left knee as well? Ah...probably not...see, it's wooden...no, it most likely be termites...
Take 555 aspirins but don't call me in the morning.
Thanks, Tim...
Funny one, Paul. 5's
catchy..5s
Adagio - thanks! alvin - indeed, it is...last week half the people in here were coughing...the week before the boss took those of us who wanted to get flu shots over to Sav-on to get them(on his dime)...but we found out we can't get ours until after October 24th or 25th because we don't fall into the "high-risk" category...but fortunately it doesn't seem to be the flu...I hope...
You're right , Paul. A beautiful OS, one of my favorites by the Mac. Good job with it....aaaaaachooooooooooooooooo! Fives
Thanks, Rick C, happens that it was one of my late brother's favorites, too ~ ~ ~
sending you three 5's, a box of tissues, and some Goldenseal.
Thank Aah-aah-aah-choo...you..., carol ~ ~ ~
Usually these things offend me...but, I really appreciate the little disclaimer at the beginning of your lyrics. 'Crystal' truly is a beautiful song written by Stevie very early on in her career. In addition to being released on the album, 'Fleetwood Mac', it was also released in 1975 by Buckingham Nicks. I'm partial to the latter version. Such a beautiful and meaningful love song deserves no mocking, but you did it so well and so kindly. Thank you.
Thanks, Stephanie...yes, this is a great song...it was also one of my late brother, David's favorite songs of that era...I wasn't aware that Buckingham & NIcks released a version of it also....and from that date it would have been after they had already joined 'Mac'...at least I THINK...my memory for music stuff is usually pretty good, but things from the mid-seventies are a bit blurry for me as to the exact timelines...for some reason or another...lol...as an FYI, I really prefer to work with OS material that I like, it's just a whole lot more fun working with stuff you enjoy listeneing to, especially when you need to hear the Original song a fairly large number of times to get the pacing to work properly...I have a large degree of respect for the songwriter's of just about all the material I work with...without their work I wouldn't have the song structures to place my words in - on my own I OCCASIONALLY have more to say than can be fit into a song's alloted time-frame...
