The Lyrics

it's a little bit funny, attacking the right
you lefties, on here who ask "am I right"?
I don't think you're funny, but if I did,
I'd buy a big delete sign, and put your stuff in

if I was american, but then again, no
I'm a brit, who takes pride in allies who go
I know you hate much, but it's all you can do,
you lost, you're all wrong, but this song's for you

and you can fool everybody, by writing your songs
the chad's they were dimpled, but that issue's done
I hope you don't mind, I hope you don't mind
I hope you don't mind that I put down in words
how wonderful life is while Gore is in the World..

you ruined the whitehouse, and made a bad life.
your man willy had the stones to lie, and cheat on his wife
but the fun now is mine, as I write this song
it's for people like you, and maybe for Bill Tong

so excuse me not knowing, but this one's for you
your political scene is amazing, it's crazy but true
anyway, the thing is what I really mean
the right's the best guy's I've ever seen

Poor Professor Higgins... Let's see, you love right-wingers. What has the right wing done for your homeland? The last truly right-wing leader Britain has had was Margaret Thatcher. And what did she get for you? The Falkland Islands. What a prize. Before that, Winston wasn't exactly a doctrinaire conservative, and Baldwin, Chamberlain (who wasn't right-wing except when caving in Munich), Eden, Macmillan, Douglas-Home, Heath and (Egad, here's a guy who admitted an affiar!) Major were about as conservative as New York Republicans. Dimples chads "done" as an issue? Not as long as an election thief is in the White House. His weekly leaving for Texas doesn't count as being out. You criticize our man Bill for having an affair, which Major also did. Does the name John Profumo ring a bell? Unlike Clinton's fooling around, that affair brought down the Tories. The only one of Queen Elizabeth's kids who hasn't had an affair is Edward, and he had to get married for fear of being called a poof! And Philip! Oy vey! And if you're such a conservative, why are you using the song of an openly gay performer (Elton John) to hit us? What's the word your people use in a situation like this? Oh yeah...Blimey!

wow, mike.. chill man.. this is all in fun right?? lets say I'm an openly right wing person who advocates tolerance for all, but who will laugh at anything and anyone.. I poke fun at people equally because I think we are.. I'm not really that political, but the right needs a voice.. maybe mine?? maybe not.. if I think Dubya has screwed up, or does anything I don't like, I'll slam him too., so in the words of my favourite performer.. Freddie Mercury.. awww c'mon give us a kiss

Good work, Malcolm - You commented on how wonderful life is because of Gore. It would be a lot more wonderful for parody writers if he were once again a candidate for president because (1) he says and does humorous things, and (2) Gore is easy to rhyme. I liked your response to Michael Pacholek, but I would add that Margaret Thatcher gave the British economy a big gift by privatizing some nationalized industries, utilities and social programs, including British Gas, British Telecommunications, and heatlth care. Also, what is inconsistent in using a song written by an openly gay performer? Many gays understand the weaknesses of liberal policies and there is at least one openly gay Republican radio talk show host in Los Angeles.

In fact, there are many gay republicans...theyre called "log cabin republicans"

Nice song. Personally the political stuff just annoys me though, and I really do think that politics is a little more complicated than just right and left wing...

Pacing is ok; it seems as though you injected the "non American" disclaimer as an excuse for laughably oversimplifying the American political landscape; the caricature would have been fine if you hadn't taken yourself so seriously.
