Well, here it is, my first parody of the year & my first ELO parody! Enjoy the parody (and the new year, hopefully)! DKTOS (Don't Know The Original Song?)
Did you see the year pass before your eyes today?
Did you see it go in your mind & far away?
Aaaaaahhhhhh!
Did you see it fly, did you see it go?
Ah ah, ah ah, ah ah!
Did you make sure that this time was spent well?
Ah ah, ah ah, ah ah!
Ah, ah ah, ah ah, ah aaaaaahhhhhh! [x2]
Did you see the ball dropping on the air today?
There were fireworks going off down by the bay.
Aaaaaahhhhhh!
Did you say goodbye, did you watch a show?
Ah ah, ah ah, ah ah!
Will you still excel come Heaven or Hell?
Ah ah, ah ah, ah ah!
Ah, ah ah, ah ah, ah aaaaaahhhhhh! [x2]
Did you see the year go into the books today?
Was it Year Zero or was it 2008?
Aaaaaahhhhhh!
Did you see it go in your mind & far away?
Aaaaaahhhhhh!
Did you see it fly, did you see it go?
Ah ah, ah ah, ah ah!
Did you make sure that this time was spent well?
Ah ah, ah ah, ah ah!

Fact regarding ELO's first album: In the UK, it was self-titled, but in the US, it was titled "No Answer". Why? Because someone at United Artists (the company responsible for importing the album to the US) phoned England to find out what the album should be titled. No one picked up, so this person wrote down "No Answer", which was mistaken for the album title.

I also wrote a Beatles parody yesterday, in case anyone's interested.
happy new year....love the OS....didn't know that bit of info about the album title
I loved the OS right away, but then you made this song very festive! Just so you know, I read your Beatles parody "Resolution" and I enjoyed it a whole lot. I voted and commented on it too. Another festive New Years parody. 5's all the way!! Keep on writing your parodies!
