The Lyrics

Avocado, I add to you some new spices,
I been ripenin' these things for so long now.
"Oh, you're a hard one",
I shop but forgot your season,
Squeeze fruit that's appealin, true.
There's few anyhow.

Won't your raw cuisine get ripened, boy
We'll eat you if we're able
The green departs always for sure you bet.

Yes, it seems to me some vine things
Can be thereupon enable
Put new greenly ones, my son, in your cart yet.

Avocado, oh, you ain't gettin' no younger
Four days and my hunger, stare, droolin' you home.
And free of, oh, free of, well, that rust plum abalkin'
My reason is making you this bowl for your home.

My bowl meat got rolled 'n' better with time,
But I won't know bland be or divine.
Pits hard, threw it 'way, mild thyme in, hurray!
You're loosin' all your size, compose.
Salt it, sonny, now the feeding lasts all day....

Guacamole, my own goo, chum, whooo, your sinus
Comes free from the peppers, oceans don't wait.
It may be draining, but there's a rainbow above you,
Well, you better run get some kleenex, before it's too late.

I was working on a parody "Nosferatu" to this tune... it ended up being a parody to "The Hippopotamus Song" instead. I enjoyed this one, even if it is syntactically-challenged in places ;-)

Thanks Phil

Good parody, Adagio, and I can relate to the theme of avocado impatience. I have a Haas avocado tree in my back yard that I planted 4+ years ago that only gave me 10 avocados this year - I hope for more next year.

The site IS back...I waited all this time to say thanks, John. Haas avocados are my favorite.

You *do* know Weird Al once wrote at least part of this parody, right? But it was unreleased, so I haven't actually ever heard it. This doesn't sound Weird Al-ish, though, so I certainly wouldn't even imagine thinking it was plagiarism - I just thought you might like to know. Anyway, great job.

Thanks, neminem.

It's too green and sounds Adagio-ish.😂
