About time I parodied this song. Also about time, following Ernie and Bert, Elmo, Grover, the Count and the Cookie Monster, I did a parody for Oscar the Grouch. Oh yeah: In the second verse, "stew" is a verb meaning "get angry," not a noun for a multiple-ingredient food or a verb meaning "get drunk." I don't want to know what Oscar drinks.
Day after day, I am not amused.
And I wish we could get lots of pouring rain!
It gives me some mud that I like to use.
But Elmo is a pain.
Ain't it a shame?

"Sesame Street" is a grrreat sub for "Give me the beat." I like.
