Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Still don't know what I was thinkin of
'Cause my cash was running low
Another must-have item
On the infomercial here tonight
They said to order right away
So I pulled my credit card out
And I dialed the telephone
And placed my order to be sent to me
By next-day air delivery

Su-su-su-su-sucker
(spendin' all my cash)
Su-su-sucker
My television lets me shop
Su-su-su-su-sucker
(spendin' all my cash)
Su-su-sucker
Just gotta have a super dusting mop
But wait there's more
So order right now

With QVC and HSN
I know I'll be informed
Of must-have merchandise
And they show me plasticware
That always stays organized
And a special pan for omelettes
That will really change my world
And everything's a special bargain
I better buy before they sell them all

Su-su-su-sucker
(spendin' all my cash)
Su-su-sucker
Supplies are always limited
Su-su-su-su-sucker
(spendin' all my cash)
Su-su-sucker
They prey on all the desperate and dimwitted
I've got to have
A contour pillow

Strange fascination, what will I see
When I spend my hours shopping on TV

Su-su-su-su-sucker
(spendin' all my cash)
Su-su-sucker
Just a small fee gets it engraved
Su-su-su-su-sucker
(spendin' all my cash)
Su-su-sucker
And you know the more you spend the more you save
Order right now
And get two for one
I said to order right now
And join in the fun

I had to read this cause I'm a sucker =) I actually wrote a song with a similar theme but a more obscure OS, great minds think alike! Anyway, this was well done, now if you can just get my wife off that shopping channel for me =)

Thanks Jeff! This seems to be my week for redundancy - first I post a kung fu parody and MP tells me he's already done it, and now this one. At least I have good taste in who I copy. :-)

I'm glad if anyone was doing a David Bowie parody, it's you and your funny sexy lyrics ^.^

Pretty good parody, although imho what would make it memorable would be more listing of the ridiculous items the singer bought (cf., Weird Al's "Mr. Popeil" and "E Bay").

Great parody! I might be a sucker but I just have to give you all fives for your work on this one!

(Artistry) I had a bit of trouble reading this to the OS, but that's my unfamiliarity with Bowie showing there, methinks. Great parody skewering those infomercials I've heard so much about but never seen due to me not watching TV these days. 555!

Good one, Rex. This reminds me fondly of the M&P Parody "Pester Me Once More".

Home Shopping Network is also a favorite of hoarders along with Ebay, Amazon, and the weekly Garage Sale Listings

Slaps at commercialism always go over well with me. Also this os has one of my weirdest personal misheard lyric "turn and face the guy" :c). Well done rex and very funny.
