The Lyrics

midi...http://www.fortunecity.com/tinpan/newbonham/651/midiheaven.htm
Just sat down on my front porch, set roach motel, oh joy!
I watch them frown, little tooshies do scorch.
Annihilation kicks in, pretty soon I'm singin'.

Chorus:
Roach, roach, roach, welcome to my front door.

There's clients carrying luggage, prostitute bugs in high heels.
Look at all the sappy creatures prancing on my lawn.
Think enough payola will make the back door open.

Chorus:
Roach, roach, roach, welcome to my front door.

We have roaches in striped pants playing in the band.
They can take a ride in our big balloon.
Roach, roach, do.
See our acquisition located in our kitchen.

Chorus:
Roach, roach, roach, welcome to my front door.

We have roaches in striped pants playing in the band.
They can take a ride in our big balloon.
Roach, roach, do.
For your satisfaction, buffet, if you will follow.

Chorus:
Roach, roach, roach, welcome to my front door.

(slowing for the kill)

You might wonder why I've joy, I've trapped them all, oh boy!
Look at all the sorry creatures trapped now, it soon dawns.
Bother me today, tomorrow, I'll be in rainbows.

Chorus:
Roach, roach, roach, welcome to my front door.

I wrote about maggots, Malcolm wrote about a bug-child, and now our Pat has picked up the baton and regaled us with a rollicking roach motel rant! Creepy good fun, Adagio!

Thanks, Johnny...maybe it was an unconcious thought picking up. :D

Adagio - Great fun (except for the roaches). 5's. I was out at my Dad's today helping my niece and her friends do some things. One of them found a Black Widow spider (live) in a flower pot in the back yard. There was a quick vote on whether it was OK to kill it, which was pretty close until I pointed out that it would doubtless be reincarnated as "a beautiful swan", which everyone, especially the girls felt was a rather charming thought, so thus, one of the men-folk was allowed to crush the dangerous little bastard and send him/her on the way down that road to beautiful swan-hood. I know I'm a dirty old man for saying this but my niece (she's 25) has some VERY cute girl-friends in roughly the same age bracket.

Roach Hotel (California), where the critters check in but they won't ever leave. Nice parody Pat.
