Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Down in Texas there’s a cunning native son
Gathering the gulled to sit around and pray.*
But we know that it’s a sham and just for show;
He’ll be running for prez any day.

Ain’t separation, ain’t separation
Of church and of state. . .
The creep’s congregation.

He perverts the name of Jesus ’cause he’s got a view
To a certain mansion in D.C.
We had a Tex gov and eight years of blight—
More “faith-based” far-right hypocrites we don’t need see.

Ain’t separation, ain’t separation
Of church and of state.
This creep run the nation?!

Had this hollow, exclusive get-together;
Pseudo prophets got up on the stage to bray. . .
Was nothing but a snakeoil medicine show,
Antithesis of the American way.

Back to the bad old days
If this false-prophet redneck from Texas strays,
Back to the bad Lone days. . . .

Didn't this candidate also talk about separation (secession) from the Union. Not that I disagree with him on that. What if all 50 States seceded at the same time?
