| Original Song Title: | "Julie Do Ya Love Me?" |
| Original Performer: | Bobby Sherman |
| Parody Song Title: | "Gooey Should a Slug Be" |
| Parody Written by: | Merry & Pippin |
Fleeing along that white garden path now
At speed three feet per night
Glossy trails curvin'
All sleazily swervin'
A slimy and oozy sight
Oh oh gooey gooey gooey should a slug be
Gooey gooey gooey viscid air
Gluey gluey, always stickin' stuff see
Gooey gooey till the salt spills there
See that no bunch stuck together
That was sure odd 'cus they're slime
These gastropods maybe
Would make lumpy gravy
It's grotty fun in all the grime
Oh oh gooey gooey gooey should a slug be
Ah gooey gooey gooey mucous flair
Gluey gluey, and gelatinous-y
Gooey gooey till the salt spills there
No univalve - of shell bereft too
But a-where went to I couldn't say
These stream-lined escargot
Are missin' some cargo
Tread on one, you'll slide ten feet away
Oh oh gooey gooey gooey should a slug be
Ah gooey gooey gooey viscid air
C'mon gluey gluey, gummy, sticky, pus-y
Gooey gooey till the salt spills there
Oh oh gooey gooey gooey should a slug be
A gluey gluey gluey squishy snare...

Mer & Pip - OOOHHHH...A slimy job, but I suppose someone (or in this case, more than one) must do it. 5-5-5 slugs of slimy snail-snot for this one. I think I'll go thoroughly bathe now...

truly, truly, truly, this is ugly...but it was supposed to be, so take some 5s....my son told me that he preferred torturing slugs, to snails, cause slugs were "easier to get at"......
Had a cat once that ate a slug. The goo in his mouth was awful. 5-5-5
Jan - saw your comment about the slug-eating cat - EEEWWW...However, this got me to thinking about the "Gourmet" cat food market; How about a new flavor, "Crushed Slugs & Snails" -you wouldn't have to add any yucky gravy...
Accidently trod on one once......ewwww.......at least it didn't go 'pop' and 'crunch' like the snail did ! Great stuff and very descriptive as always !
Paul, yeah.. and it could come with a warning, "may contain shells".
