| Parody Song Title: | "All You Want to Do Is Drive" |
| Parody Written by: | Michael Pacholek |
You knew I would get around to it. After doing Genesis' "I Can't Dance" as "I Can't Drive," I suggested we do a bad-drivers' concept album. At this rate, we'll have a sequel of all BJ-can't-drive songs.
Oh, Billy, keep eyes on the road, not the radio.
Oh, Billy, you might end up shaped like a Cheerio.
You might not keep this car together.
Be lucky to leave it alive.
Oh, Billy, all you want to do is drive.
Oh, Billy, I think you were driving 'bout 70.
Oh, Billy, your driving skills bad as they used to be.
I don't understand why you're crashing.
You've been licensed since '65.
Oh, Billy, all you want to do is drive.
Well, you wish you were back in those good old days
when paying tickets was cheaper.
And you always put a foot that was made out of lead
in your Converse sneaker.
And you never changed oil, never changed spark plugs
and you say you're now off the beer.
But your hands still ain't steady
and you still ain't ready
to go into first gear.
(instrumental break)
You can hide away, Billy, out on Long Island
still picked up by men in blue.
And the party is over
and Christie's still saying bad stuff about you.
Oh, Billy, guess who got driver's permit today?
Oh, Billy, you know it's your little Alexa Ray!
She's already driving much better
and don't you know that ain't no jive!
Oh, Billy, all you want to do is drive!
Oh, Billy, all you want to do is drive!
(instrumental fadeout)

Maybe if he stopped driving with the Nylon Curtain over his eyes...
