"In the event of something happening to me"
There are papers that I've kept for you to see.
This is just insurance on the life I am due.

Have you seen my life, Mr. Jones?
Do you know what it's like on the inside?
Don't go talking too loud, they'll get upset, and tap phones.

"I keep straining my ears to hear a sound."
Of someone here creeping all around.
If they think I will blab, my chest it will turn red.
I once existed, but now must be made dead.

Have you seen my life, Mr. Jones?
Do you know what it's like on the inside?
Don't go talking too loud, they'll get upset, and tap phones.

"In the event of something happening to me,"
Left papers in back of the picture of me.
It's just incriminating stuff for you to use.

Have you seen my life, Mr. Jones?
I am so scared for me on the inside.
Don't go talking too loud, they'll get upset, and tap phones.

Great job on the parody! I read your parody, now how bout you read mine? "Come On Over" to the Shania Twain section and "Check It Out"
Adagio - February 28, 2004 - Report this comment
Thanks, Chris! I've been over to your section but DKTOS any Shania Twain.

(ABC-G-05) DKTOS and unfortunately don't know much about this incident. Internet connection/settings are seriously FUBAR too to play the midi.
Agrimorfee - June 07, 2005 - Report this comment
(ABC05) Interesting (but doesn't make sense without the intro)
Johnny D - June 10, 2005 - Report this comment
(ABC) Still slick!
Adagio - June 10, 2005 - Report this comment
Thanks Ant, Agri., and Johnny!!
Melhi - June 13, 2005 - Report this comment
(G) I have to be honest, here. I'm just not digging this one on any level. There's way too much of the original lyric retained and the pacing on the parts you did change could have been tighter, particularly on the "you'll cause a landslide" sub. If you hadn't entered it in a contest, I would have thought you accidentally submitted it before it was finished. (Sorry.)
Adagio - June 14, 2005 - Report this comment
Thank you for your input, Melhi.

Would make a good Mafia movie plot, though the title was a bit of a stretch, I thought.
Adagio - June 15, 2005 - Report this comment
Thanks Dee. You forgot to vote, though.

(G) loved the double-meaning take on the OS's "on the inside" Adagio

Thanks, Stu!!

(ABC) I really DKTOS well enough to make an informed comment, other than this was a great read.
Ethan Mawyer - June 18, 2005 - Report this comment
(ABC) DKTOS... But this wasn't quite as adagioesque as I'm used to, at least in my opinion
MysteryGoat - June 18, 2005 - Report this comment
(ABC) DKTOS
Adagio - June 18, 2005 - Report this comment
