Life in the Bush Administration
I get up every morning and ignore the global warming
Head out to the Oval Office start my day
I keep my donors all protected so I can be re-elected
Give 'em access just as long as they pay
And to the corporate crooks who keep cooking up the books
We make sure we look the other way
The laws are theirs to break long as I still get my take
My war chest keeps on growin' each day
And I've been takin' care of business, every day
Takin' care of business, that's my way
I've been takin' care of business, it's so fine
Takin' care of business, don't pay overtime
Don't pay
It's more lucrative than fishin' as the top politician
I dole out favors and collect the dues
Cutting taxes on estates, dividends and upper rates
Not my problem that the working folks lose
The environment I'll spoil in the interest of big oil
Or mining, lumber, gas to name a few
And my friends are much too greedy to respect Kyoto's treaty
Just what's the problem with CO2?
And I've been takin' care of business, every day
Takin' care of business, Kenneth Lay
I've been takin' care of business, it's so fine
Takin' care of business, go ahead and mine
I take care of big business, every day, every way
I get up every morning and ignore the global warming
Head out to the Oval Office start my day
I keep my donors all protected so I can be re-elected
Give 'em access just as long as they pay
And to the corporate crooks who keep cooking up the books
We make sure we look the other way
The laws are theirs to break long as I still get my take
My war chest keeps on growin' each day
And I've been takin' care of business, every day
Takin' care of business, as long as they pay
I've been takin' care of business, yes indeed
Takin' care of business, give 'em what they need
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business, every day
Takin' care of business, that's my way
Takin' care of business, it's so fine
Takin' care of business, don't pay overtime
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business
I've been takin' care of business
I've been takin' care of business
Takin' care of business
Takin' care of business

So W is protecting Kenneth Lay? Kenneth Lay has spent 11 nights in the White House--the Clinton White House. He was also on the Texas Governor's Energy Council--of Texas Governor Ann Richards. So W is wrong to reject Kyoto? The same Kyoto that the Senate rejected 95-0? Just a few facts for ya.
Kenneth Lay and his corporation has commited more white collar crimes than any other organization in recent history. Yet they're still free to do as they please. The Bush administration appears to be too busy pursuing other matters to worry about the hundreds of millions of dollars they stole from investors, to actually go after them. Why does it matter if they contributed to Clinton? They contributed to both parties. Neither have gone after these crooks. As far as I'm concerned anyone in power when the truth was discovered should have immediately begun to go after these guys. Clinton is long out of power, and Bush isn't. It's the Bush administration's responsibility to go after these SOBs and they haven't.
