Parody Song Title:

"Bakin' There At Quizno's"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

they get up every morning
get those bread loaves warmin'
and a buck fifteen will get you plenty
they're a business that i love
the buns are pushed into the oven
boys and girls...its time to get ready

but we ain't got much time
cause they open up at nine
i think that we should stop in there today
when my tummy feels a void
here's a meal i have enjoyed
i like to have a sandwich a day

cause they are bakin' there at quizno's...every day
bakin' there at quizno's...cooked your way
they've been bakin' there at quizno's...nine till nine
bakin' there at quizno's...i eat there all the time
munch out !

there's no grease in the kitchen
all those cooks are magicians
they also serve pie, chips and jello
they've installed a salad bar
and my money goes far
its a break for all us out-of-work fellows

people want a toasted bun
just a-cookin' till its done
they really seem to like 'em that way
other joints, you should avoid
cause you'll feel overjoyed
if you decide to eat there today

cause they are bakin' there at quizno's...every day
bakin' there at quizno's...cooked your way
they've been bakin' there at quizno's...nine till nine
bakin' there at quizno's...i eat there all the time

they take care at quizno's
put 'em away..every day !...woo !

they get up every morning
get those bread loaves warmin'
and a buck fifteen will get you plenty
they're a business that i love
the buns are pushed into the oven
boys and girls...its time to get ready

but we ain't got much time
cause they open up at nine
i think that we should stop in there today
when my tummy feels a void
here's a meal, i have enjoyed
i like to have a sandwich a day

cause they are bakin' there at quizno's...every day
bakin' there at quizno's...cooked your way
they've been bakin' there at quizno's...nine till nine
bakin' there at quizno's...i eat there all the time

bakin' there at quizno's...bakin' there at quizno's
bakin' there at quizno's...bakin' there at quizno's
bakin' there at quizno's...bakin' there at quizno's

Nothin' half baked about your parodies! I really enjoyed this one, especially how reminiscent the chorus is of the original... in a twisted way!

Five "mmmmm" to you. Too bad Office Max got a hold of TOS already.

We've got the poor man's Subway over here in the UK too...though I've got to say (sorry Al) I prefer Quiznos...as I prefer this parody. 555

Quizno's could really use your song as their jingle...god knows they could do better than those dreadful sock monkey or Baby Bob ads. I love Quizno's--no other eating establishment has a menu that I could select from blindly and not be disappointed. The only quibble I have to relate--"a buck, fifteen" for a Quizno's sandwich??? Which alternate universe can I go to pay that much. :) 555

Great lyrics and sales pitch. I love Subway, but I will have to try Quizno's. By the way, when you say "Buns in the oven" somebody could put that two ways - if you know what I mean.

I ate lunch at Schlotzsky's just yesterday. Quizno's is about the same but this parody would have sucked if you would have made it about Schlotzsky's. Do you want fries with that? OK, drive up to window 2 and that will be $5.55.
Stuart McArthur - March 09, 2005 - Report this comment
well alvin, being a baker would be more appealing if you didn't have to get up every morning at 5.55 (yuk yuk)

One Number 5 combo meal! And thank you for NOT mentioning those damn "sponge monkeys"!

I enjoy both Quiznos and Schlotzky's, although I got banned for life from my local Schlotzky's because I had been smoking a cigarette in front of the open drive-thru window with my car window open. I always get a friend to go get a large Deluxe Original to go WITHOUT saying that the sandwich was for Andria, otherwise, they might refuse to serve him. (Seriously. It's a VERY long story.) As for Quiznos, my favorite is the Classic Italian on white bread with pickled peppers on the side. 5s.

thanks michael and andria.....never heard of schlotsky's but they sound pretty uptight...never tried pickled peppers
