| Parody Song Title: | "Horsemen Of Fame" |
| Parody Written by: | Alvin Rhodes |
i saw bill hart on his journeys
i saw rogers and dale, his wife
i saw lash and hayes and rocky lane
there was gibson...and ol' john wayne
twas tom mix, i met...and smiley burnette
clayton moore... rode around
ol' gene was hot...and andy devine
on their horses, sunset-bound
i've been watchin' westerns
starrin' horsemen of fame
they shot good and they rescued the dames
love the westerns
we all remember their names
cause they pulled their guns and established their fame
la la la....
after two days...as the westerns run
the villains vamoosed and they fled
after three days...as in westerns done
they were lookin' back with fear and dread
and the story was told...that the heroes, so bold
brought 'em back, alive or else dead
you see, i've been watchin' westerns
starrin' horsemen of fame
they shot good and they rescued the dames
love the westerns
we all remember their names
cause they pulled their guns and established their fame
la la la....
in the old days...it was the horsemen's creed
that the west and it's folks be free
there were men who served and watched for things
like an evil outlaw ring
commotion in a western surely will come around
but our heroes would rise above
take out the villains...put 'em into the ground
its a concept not hard to love
you see, i've been watchin' westerns
starrin' horsemen of fame
they shot good and they rescued the dames
love the westerns
we all remember their names
cause they pulled their guns and established their fame
la la la....

Thought this was going to be about the fabled four. Nice Westerns tribute.

How right you are Sir Alvin, ~Duke 0'Trail & Chaps~ Oh, the sight of a Boot Stompin' ~~ Wrangler wearin' ~~ Rifle totin' ~~ PickUpTruck drivin' ~~ bigSmile Flashin' CowPoke . . . Ay, Cohiba ! !
Yeeee-haaaaa!!! Yippie-yi-yo-ki-yay!! What an old cowhand's tale! Not to mention the tune of the OS fits your parody. This looks like something coming out of western series such as Gunsmoke, Bonanza (humming theme music), and Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Allow me to rope you three 5's coming your way, Cowboy!!
Nice bit of nostalgia for the days when the bad guys got taken out without 2 hours of rapid-machine gun fire...
thanks again LilwesternHO...thanks christie...glad ya enjoyed...thanks merry...amen, lol
