Original Song Title:

"Ramblin' Man"

Original Performer:

Allman Brothers Band

Parody Song Title:

"Babblin' Man (Southern Version)"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

Lord, I was born a babblin' man.
Tryin' to get elected and doin' the best I can.
So when it's time for votin', I hope you'll understand
that I was born a babblin' man.

My father was a Senator in Georgia.
He gave three-hour speeches in the sun.
And I was born in the back seat of a campaigning bus
rollin' out to the Convention.

Lord, I was born a babblin' man.
Tryin' to get elected and doin' the best I can.
So when it's time for votin', I hope you'll understand
that I was born a babblin' man.

(instrumental break)

I'm on my way to New Hampshire this morning.
I'm leavin' out of Iowa, you see.
There's always trolling for votes in the White Mountains, Lord
and I'll tell them that I can keep them free.

Lord, I was born a babblin' man.
Tryin' to get elected and doin' the best I can.
So when it's time for votin', I hope you'll understand
that I was born a babblin' man.

Lord, I was born a babblin' man.
Lord, I was born a babblin' man.
Lord, I was born a babblin' man.
Lord, I was born a babblin' man.

(long instrumental fadeout)

Okay, fair enough you damned yankee. I will perhaps do a Babblin' Man ( Northern Version ) to counter this. :)

Ant: I made a mistake with the titles. This should have been "Babblin' Man (1973 Version)," and the other one should have been "... (1961 Version)," like I did with my two "Your Cheatin' Wood" parodies about corked baseball bats. I called this one "Southern Version" because it was by the Allmans. Last I checked, they weren't exactly wearing blue at Gettysburg.
