Parody Song Title:

"I'm Not A Bug"

The Lyrics

For all the little buzzing, fluttering things in the great outdoors at this time of year.
I'm not a bug
So don't you swat me
It's just a window pane I'm going through
And just because I flutter by
Don't think I'm here to let your kids chase me
I'm not a bug, I'm a

I started out a caterpillar
But then I went into a chrysalis
So if you see me, don't make a fuss
Don't roll The Times up into a big stick
I'm not a bug, I'm a

Be calm - I do not bite, I do not bite, I do not bite
I only fly, I only fly, I only fly

Some strange mad humans
On their front walls
Hang frames just filled with all my relatives
Hope they don't try to
Net me as well
I am a crinkly Red Admiral
I'm not a bug, I'm a

Nature waits a long time for me
Nature waits a long time
Nature waits a long time for me
Yes, it waits a long time

I'm not a bug
Don't try to swat me
I will not bite or try to poison you
And just because
I flutter past
Don't go unleashing horrid kids on me
I'm not a bug
I'm not a bug

It must be the season. This was very funny.

I don't know this song, but I like the parody's lyrics. Good job with sentence structure and stuff like that...most people lack that ability when writing poetry.

Thanks - funny thing was, I never actually meant to parody this song. It was next on my iTunes playlist after something else I was playing back to test some other parody lyrics and I came up with the first two verses without really trying.
