| Parody Song Title: | "Legumes Concerto" |
| Parody Written by: | John A. Barry |
No, lentils are not grain,
Though both will grow in a meadow,
On berms, and under trees
Such as pines or yews
That aren't too shady.
But first, the soil must be tilled
So they can with sun and rain grow.
Both come down from above,
Temper the earth's crust.
When you weed, wear gloves.
When you're farming legumes,
Be careful you don't sever
The buds from tender leaves
And don't rip apart
Fragile pods of seeds.
'Cause that will make you cry
More than blight on the crops you love.
Beets are much more hardy
But don't warm your heart. . .
Grow infernally.
So, when the soil is turned
Make sure you line up the bed rows
And have soil that's well-drained.
Watch the birds above--
Down their turds will rain.
You'll hold onto the farm
Although the workers practice bugg'ry.
Here's one who loves to coo
In Deutsche, "Liebe Kuh,
Ich bin Wunderbulle!"
And you hold in your arms
A large green crop that's bumpery.
These legumes that you grew
Will make someone be
Very thunderful.
Though both will grow in a meadow,
On berms, and under trees
Such as pines or yews
That aren't too shady.
But first, the soil must be tilled
So they can with sun and rain grow.
Both come down from above,
Temper the earth's crust.
When you weed, wear gloves.
When you're farming legumes,
Be careful you don't sever
The buds from tender leaves
And don't rip apart
Fragile pods of seeds.
'Cause that will make you cry
More than blight on the crops you love.
Beets are much more hardy
But don't warm your heart. . .
Grow infernally.
So, when the soil is turned
Make sure you line up the bed rows
And have soil that's well-drained.
Watch the birds above--
Down their turds will rain.
You'll hold onto the farm
Although the workers practice bugg'ry.
Here's one who loves to coo
In Deutsche, "Liebe Kuh,
Ich bin Wunderbulle!"
And you hold in your arms
A large green crop that's bumpery.
These legumes that you grew
Will make someone be
Very thunderful.
