| Parody Written by: | Merry & Pippin |
The saga of those screens sold to convert TV to 'color' in the 50s...
Black - white
Sure doesn't look right
Screen's got shades of grey
Squawk box its hue's a mock sight
T.V. needs array
Store
Will fix it up right
Buy a little square screen
And adhesion it tight
Buyed from store
And now it's all new
It's a little bit green (a little bit green)
And it's a little bit blue... too
Outgrown, seen grey for too long
The world seems im-poverized
You know, colors they be-long
Invention needs modernized
Grrrr
Now colour's a-wry
Just a little bit ground
and a little bit sky
Acute dearth:
Privation of hue
Faces little bit green (a little bit green)
And some a little bit blue... too
Oh grrr...
The color's misdight
Vert's a little too strong
Azure's a little too light
I said grrr
The Honeymoon's thru
Ralph's a little bit green (at bottom of screen)
And Ed's a little bit blue... eeeew!
Lucy's little bit green
Ricky's little bit blue...
(fade)

unique concept...a little bit fives
A little bit...entertaining. No, actually a lot. 555
Neat bit of parody. 5's (Liked your website too)
I like this and gave it fives. But I thought you should've said bought instead of buyed for grammar reasons. Anyway I enjoyed it.
I remember seeing those things and marvelling that anyone could be in such denial as to buy one - great detail, M and P - loved the Lucy and Ricky ending - 555
Perfect in every way - from the original theme, to your clever word-play. I am in awe yet again !
Thank you everyone. Lionel, Pip used 'buyed' to humor me - I like to misuse words... ;-) (And I think this is the second parody we've featured 'misdight' in...hee hee).
