"Did Mitt Romney Ever Make Up His Mind?"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

In 1967, Governor George Romney of Michigan was running for the Republican nomination for President. Strangely, being a Mormon wasn't an issue at the time. (Nor is it for this particular parody.) But he went on a fact-finding trip to Vietnam, and came back saying the generals tried to brainwash him. By the 1968 primaries, voters decided he didn't have much of a brain to wash. Now, 40 years later, his son, Willard Mitt Romney, the former Governor of Massachusetts, is running for President, and he's got a foolproof method to avoid brainwashing: Put his brain on "SPIN," so that the "soap" can't get in. Problem is, you can't attack his position today, because he might change it tomorrow.
Did Mitt Romney ever make up his mind?
To pick a new policy, leave others behind?
It's quite often sleazy, and not often kind.
Did Mitt Romney ever make up his mind?

Did he ever go and re-re-decide?
No longer lib, re-join conservative side?
There's so many changes that he'd like to hide.
Did he ever go and re-re-decide?

Sometimes he thinks he can reform the payment of health care.
But then he likes the tax breaks, to send 'em to wealth there.
And just when you think he's pro-choice in this world
he'd make a criminal out of a 15-year-old girl.

And then you know he'd better make up his mind.
His flip-flopping's making him so dizzy, he's blind.
It's quite often sleazy, and not often kind.
Did Mitt Romney ever make up his mind?

(instrumental break)

Sometimes he regrets saying something the moment he's saying.
Like, "Maybe we should double Guantanamo Baying."
And just like his father, we won't treat him kind.
We'll say, "Better go home, son, and make up your mind!"

Then you bet he'd better re-re-decide.
No longer conservative, re-join liberal side.
There's so many changes that he'd like to hide.
Did he ever go and re-re-decide?

Not that I'm a huge political kinda guy. . .but Mitt Romney among all potential next presidents probably ranks 2nd to last on my list---I'll spare you my least favorite candidate . . .though his "Isolate HIV" comment might give it away.

Thanks, everyone. Depending on the result of today's vote, I may do "The Wreck of the Iowa Caucus."

I'd put Romney on the bottom of my list for candidates, even below Huckabee. At least you know what Huckabee stands for. This one and Phil's biometric one are tied for the best of today.
