The Lyrics

Idi Amin Dada Oumee AKA 'Big Daddy', AKA 'Conqueror of the British Empire', AKA 'Butcher of Africa'. Country: Uganda. Kill tally: 100,000-500,000 (most sources say 300,000). Former Ugandan dictator Idi Amin died on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003 in Saudi Arabia where he lived in exile with his four wives. He was exiled from Uganda in 1979 when he lost a war he started with Tanzania. He was every bit the butcher that Sadam Hussein is. More info? There he was rockin' down and so elite,
Singin' Hoo-rah Idi-bitty down wit my crew.
Snap of his fingers snuff you out with some heat,
Singin' Hoo-rah Idi-bitty down wit my crew.

A cruel dude, cruel dude,
A crook's mind, crook's mind,
A cruel dude, A crook's mind,
Man this dude was much malign.
Before they knew it he took over the country.

Says he's Idi Amin Da-da O-u-mee, dude.
Holdin' command and as fatal as can be.
Singin' Dada mighty-mighty pound packin' dude.

He clocked out clocked out,
So hardcore, hardcore,
He clocked out so hardcore,
He got pissed a little more.

Wo-o-o-oh, they knew he was mauling; no dove.
Pressed his bid, so revoltin' gets the things,
he's been schemin' of.
Now he wears leather nearly every single day.

Singin' Hoo-rah Idi-dada down wit my crew.
Life was crappie, Idi just brought more decay.
Singin' Hoo-rah Idi-dada down wit my crew.

Starts wars, starts wars,
Resigns, resigns,
Starts wars, resigns.

Biting nails, you're outta time.
Wo-o-o-oh, his army was failing its job,
Yes it was, and so his soldiers dropped their things,
and started streamin' out.

So how's the weather down in Libya today?
Singin' boo-hoo Idi-bitty's down Idi's through,
You're so wanted that is where you better stay,
Singin' boo-hoo Idi-bitty's down Idi's through.

Starts wars, starts wars.
Resigns, resigns.

Starts wars, resigns.
Biting nails, you're outta time.
Singin' boo-hoo Idi-bitty's down Idi's through.

Boo-hoo Idi-bitty's down Idi's through.
Boo-hoo Idi-bitty's down Idi's through

Yeah, I remember when ol' Idi was the badass of the world. Hard to believe it was so many years ago (gettin' old). Can't say as I'll miss the guy, though. He was the embodiment of the adage, "Absolute power corrupts absolutely."

I tuned in on this guy when I was in Japan in the mid 70s. Some British subject living there, and I believe his first name was Dennis, can't be for sure though, called him a 'village dictator' and Ol' Idi had him arrested and was threatening to execute him. It turned out after some time he was let go after a lot of presure from the British government. I wanted to get that into the song and I searched the internet high and wide for a reference to this incident but found zilch. Anyone out here know about this incident?

Reading your URL on his death that you put down brought him back into memory. Good job! 5's

Let me get this straight: Idi Amin was every bit as bad as Saddam Hussein (no argument there)... so A) Why didn't Tricky Dick go after him when he had the chance (being the first U.S. President to have the chance), and when he could've used the goodwill ('cause he was in danger of being impeached)... and B) Since the Saudis were protecting Amin, why didn't Bush go after the Saudis for protecting this scum? Yes, I know, other Presidents of both parties could have, but Bush talks bigger than any of them, with fewer results. Maybe the Saudis already have Saddam and Osama and aren't talking. If they did, would Bush go after them? Is the Pope Lubavitch?
