I once had a girl

She once had me
She cried in her crib
I've got the blues
This kid won't snooze

She wanted to play through her bedtime. This didn't seem fair.
She went on 'till midnight. She partied on my rocking chair.

I sat on the rug
Watching the time
Hearing her whine
She squawked until 2
Again I said
"It's time for bed"

I told her I worked in the morning but she didn't care
At 4 a.m. she was up screaming and pulling my hair

Then at 6:02
I had success
She took a rest
But my alarm rang
Starbucks or booze?
This kid won't snooze
