Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"He Came In In A Nazi Costume"

Parody Written by:

Phil Alexander

The Lyrics

or "How do you solve a problem like Prince Harry?"... I don't think it would take much searching to find a news article, such as this one
He came in in a Nazi costume
Swastika sticker on his arm
And ain't that such a dumb-ass blunder
By a prince, somewhat lacking charm

Didn't anybody tell him?
Didn't anybody see?
Picture hits the press on Monday
Tuesday, it's worldwide TV

I wonder, was it just rebellion?
This Nazi posing, just an act...
But now I guess I know the answer:
Got his grandpappy's sense of tact

So now he's proved himself a nitwit
An upper-class and blinkered snob
Maybe what he can do as penance
Is go out, get a PROPER job

Didn't anybody tell him?
Didn't anybody see?
Stupid to dress as a Nazi
Holocaust just ain't funny
Oh no.

You hit just the right combination of outrage and humor. Can you believe that guy? I crown you with 555's.

What Mason said. Well done!

Well said, Phil...I wrote a parody on the Party Prince a few weeks ago (called "Drugs and Harry" if you're interested), and never in my life did I expect him to top his previous exploits! 555

I've already left a comment on your "Drugs and Harry" parody, Kristof :-). Incidentally, if you're going to plug at least give people a link to follow... here you go, anyone else who wants to read all about it: http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/franksinatra70.shtml

Looks like "Harry doesn't mind if he makes the scene", as Mark Knopfler once sang. Sadly, this prince will never need to get a proper job.

that ol' harry is quite the cut-up, ain't he...5s for this

Good job, Phil. Isn't Harry from the House of Hannover? Might explain it.
Harry - January 14, 2005 - Report this comment
That's the House of Hangover, silly.
Phil Alexander - January 14, 2005 - Report this comment
:-) ...of course, it was in WWI that they changed from the House of Hanover (note the English rather than German spelling of it - I've often wondered why...) to House of Windsor (which has a *much* more patriotic feel, don't you think?). I can't help wondering if that German sweet slogan is approprate: "Harry beau macht kinder froh, und Erwachsene eben so"

Well done, Philbo.

To expand on Steve K.'s comment ...

And Harry doesn't mind
If he pisses
Off the Queen

He's got a play-time "job" - he parties all night!

He can play the Nazi-wonk like anything
Flipping the bird
To British pride

He'd be sulkin',
And insultin' as King

I am not familliar with the original song (Notice that I use the Queen's English), but your lyrics were good. Doesn't Harry remember how badly the Nazis trashed England? By the way, the English Royal family is half German.

Congratulations, Phil, very topical and pointed satire, just the way I like it. I hope you like my next posting in the same vein. d;:^)

Harry steps like a goose, he's all over the news, and this is what they mean, when they say, "God save the Queen!"
