Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

A fair and balanced political parody - make up your own mind. I'll retort, you decide.
He'd dock the flat tops,
He done booed at the Navy,
Don't vote statue - AWOL,
He won't show Hiz-bol-lah,
He put Heinz plants over-seas,
Votin' in this joker,
We'll be speaking Chinese.

Went where the troops dine,
He call Iran evil,
He say, pull my finger,
Want shoot Ayatollah,
He drink "mountain dew", po-lice see,
Just one time they jailed you, now you're,
Rep's history.

Pull the lever, right now,
Vote for me.

Baghdad destruction,
See Mike Wallace news shoot,
One ain't got no spine cord,
And one's primed attacker,
He did beat down o'erthrow and seize,
Roll us out on welfare,
Or all taxes he'll freeze.

Pull the lever, right now
Vote and see.

We check the pollster,
We got early voting,
They make muddy water,
We get all off kilter,
They say once I've won these huns will see,
I'll have their asses cooking,
If you'll just vote for me.

Pull the lever, right now
Vote for me.

Pull the lever, yeah
Pull the lever, yeah
Pull the lever, yeah
Pull the lever, yeah
Pull the lever, yeah
Pull the lever, yeah
Pull the lever, yeah
Pull the lever, yeah
Pull the lever, yeah
Pull the lever, yeah

To be fair and balanced, I give this excellent parody a vote of 555, and I shall also give Phil Alexander's counter-parody a vote of 555!

I agree with the message: not being a fan of Bush or Kerry, I say "DiRito for Prez" ;-)

This IS very fair and balanced! And goes well with the OS. I like it...good job, Guy! 5's

I'll support the "DiRito for Prez" platform...are we too late? Guy, can you get to DC by Tuesday? Hmmm? 555

Let's see--do I vote for the moron or the acromegallic [sic]? Excellent work!

Good parody Guy. I am seriously thinking of staying away from Amiright until after the election, except then it will probably get worse... :-(

Gee - it used to be Claude for Prez. I may have to debate him. Thanks all for the comments and I can't help it notice that the voting is all 5s at this point. If you'll all allow me to toot my own horn for a second - when was the last political parody you saw that got perfect votes after standing up for an entire day? OK, off my soap box now, thanks. I had an alternate line in the last verse but decided not to use it at the last because that verse was reserved for general retorting. Currently reads:

We get all off kilter

Alternate line was:

They say homo daughter

Thanks again everyone.

Sometimes, when you try to show more than point of view, the humor gets watered down too much, but this parody does a good job of humorously poking fun at the two major party candidates. Well done, Guy.

Guy - this one: http://www.amiright.com/parody/misc/traditional548.shtml ? (OK, so it's a UK political parody...) But you're right, it is unusual for a political parody not to get slammed by one side or the other... though even my recent "Read my Lips" got hit with 1s in the first few minutes of voting, and that's not exactly partisan, either.
JJ - but ain't there such a huge amount of fun to be poked at both sides?
