Original Song Title:

Original Performer:

The Beatles

Parody Song Title:

"We Can Duke It Out"

Parody Written by:

Rick Duncan

The Lyrics

Sombody wrote they were getting sick of my Beatle parodies. Me too. Almost done.
Try to see it my way
If you keep on talking I'll make sure you can't go on
If you want it your way
Run the risk of finding that your face will soon be gone
We can duke it out
We can duke it out

Better start your praying
You may think you're strong till we begin the bloody fight
Then there will be slaying
You can start to run now or begin to say goodnight
We can duke it out
We can duke it out

Life for you is short and now's the time
For calling your next of kin friend
Get the coffin bought, your ass is mine
I will not ask you once again

You will see it my way
Or you'll be pushing daisies from six feet beneath the ground
We can do it your way
And there won't be any part of you that can be found
We can duke it out
We can duke it out

Not bad. I have to catch up on your other ones. I've had a hard time being able to log on the last few weeks, so I'm catching up.

Hey, Rick. You are a whirlwind these days. I can't keep up with you. I liked this one okay--it's not quite as funny as another parody called "Weekend Workin' Out" by GUESS WHO but it's still directly in contrast to the intent of the original, and that counts for a lot in my book. Stay hot, and thanks for your input on my songs. d;:^)

I read that one and agree that it was better. I'm only a whirlwind because I had a lot in my files for years. But you guys are so talented you're "upping the ante". I'll never hear some songs the same again.
