Parody Song Title:

"Only a Boring Song"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Continuing my complete butchery of my favorite band, I submit more parodies written around the time the Anthologies came out. I know there may be ideas similar to what's already here, but oh well. P.S.,I have new website under construction.
If you're drifting off to this song
You may think the melody is not too strong
And it's not
It's for radio play

If you think the lyric's weak
And the words don't scan or even rhyme
You're correct
I just wrote it real fast

It doesn't really matter what words I choose
Or band I use
For you'll still snooze it down
Cause it's only a boring song

If you think this song won't sell
You don't know the market very well
It's a hit
It's promoted like heck

It doesn't really matter if it's inane
Or sounds the same
As any lame-o tune
Cause it's only a boring song

I think there were times the Beatles felt like writing one like this. The Monkees did write one for "Head".
