The Lyrics

This bit of evidence just published by the Culture, Media and Sport Select Committee is a wonderful bit of disproof of so much of what James Murdoch and his daddy have said publicly so far. It shows that not only was phone hacking rife, that the Murdochs knew all about it, that people who had been routinely hacking phones were now occupying senior positions as NGN (News Group Newspapers).. all in all, what the Murdochs have said up to now has been a tissue of lies pretty much from start to finish. Including Rupert Murdoch's "humblest day", I'm guessing - with a bit of luck, he's about to have a far more humbling one in the not too distant future. In an ideal world, it would end with a jail sentence.

Read all about it in a reputable newspaper
The evidence of Mr Pike
James Murdoch I don't think will like
One little bit
It kind of proves beyond all doubt
He lied and now the truth will out
The little sh^G^G twit
When talking about "investigation"
It turns out that his daddy lied as well
And I like that Mr Pike is telling the world

The memos sent by Mr P
And Michael Silverleaf QC
To NGN
The newspaper is shown to be
Rife with illegality
It's all of them
Messrs. P. and S. informed the Murdochs
This information is fatal to their case
And Glen Mulcaire is in the cross-hairs: better beware

From long before 2006
The Murdochs and their bunch of pricks
Were hacking phones
Though Mr P is late to say
Illegal stuff they'd undertake
But now it's known
The reward for crime has been promotion
But now it's time those criminals faced a fall
For tonight Mr. Pike is telling The Bill

I thought this was going to be about Pike from Dad's Army at first - I have this mental picture of the judge saying 'What is your name?' and some wag in the gallery saying 'Don't tell him, Pike!' in tribute to the episode with the U-boat captain! Still, good parody!
