| Parody Song Title: | "Software Pirates Sony BMG" |
| Parody Written by: | Phil Alexander |
It was 'bout a year ago today
Sony and the RIAA
Started suing people who they fear
For file-sharing peer-to-peer
So may I introduce to you
Hypocrites for all these years:
Software pirates Sony BMGeee-hee
They're software pirates Sony BMG
Did they license PointDev? No.
Being sued for software piracy
Ain't it poetic how things go?
Software pirates Sony
Software pirates Sony
Software pirates Sony BMG
It's certainly ironic
A massive legal bill
So now who cares 'bout copyright?
Been using pirate licence keys
While suing folks at home
I don't really want to have to sue
Hell, on second thoughts I really do
On the point of principle that I
Hope that damages will be sky-high
So now I really hope to screw
Some millions in damages
From Software pirates Sony BMG
Tee hee hee

Funny!
dug this....funny concept
Great stuff, philbo
Very good spoof of very deserving targets. It is especially humorous that Sony got caught because one of its IT workers called PointDev's help desk and, in describing the help he needed, he told PointDev that he was using a pirated key.
I do wonder if Sony had done an internal software audit? For a company so paranoid about others stealing its copyright material, it certainly seems to have been rather lax in that area.
Thanks, all :-)
Thanks, all :-)
Excellent! Thanks for bringing the issue to my attention as well! Great ending line.
BMG = Big Monetary Greed?
