Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Bowdlerized"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

Inspired by this thread. Thanks, Doug.

The mixture of -ized and -ised words looked weird. So I changed all the -ised ones. **** knows why.
Bowdlerized
All the naughty bits have been excized
Now it's OK for our kiddies' eyes
For Shakespeare has been Bowdlerized

Expurgate
All those rude and crude bits that you hate
Cut out Seaman Staines or Master Bates
It's bits like that we'll expurgate

"Limey" had to go, so did "blow"
That got revized
Had to cut "ding dong"
Also "thong" got bowdlerized

Bowdlerized
Quite the converse to "sensation'lized"
And an outcome that should be despized
I hate things being bowdlerized

"Pikey" had to go, so did "Ho"
(Santa's surprized)
I said something wrong
Now this song's been bowdlerized

Bowdlerized
Didn't end up quite as advertized
From the cut-out bits, I feel chastized
I can't believe I'm bowdlerized
Bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep bleep-bleeeeeee

:-)
John - it's lucky in a way that Bowdler did it first: otherwise we might have been saying "Hayezed" or "Gored" ;-)

Due to political demand for internet gerrymandering only perverts will one day be allowed to access and vote for this parody, not that it will make any difference in my case... ;-)

clever, and bullseye again, Phil - the use of "z" for "s" acually made it funnier - interesting reading on that other website of yours too - 555
