Parody Song Title:

"Apathy"

Parody Written by:

The Lyrics

I can't believe some writers actually spend the time I spent on this on a regular basis
When my lyrics were a mess like rubble
Well that used to bother me
Before I discovered
Apathy
If it took less than fifty minutes
To write it it was a quickie
But now I don't bother
Apathy

Apathy, I'm lazy, I repeat, Apathy
Blah blah blah blah blah blah
Apathy
Apathy's good for me can't you see oh yippee
Blah blah blah blah blah blah

I used to strain for proper pacing
That was kind of tiring
I feel fine because of
Apathy
The voters might give me ones
But it won't be a tragedy
All i have to thank is
Apathy

Apathy Apathy Apathy Apathy
Massive repitition, apathy
Apathy, apathy, apathy, apathy
It's a good condition, apathy

I used to use the lyrics
Of the real song that I parodied
Didn't bother this time
Apathy
Might have gotten quite a lot wrong
From working from memory
So sue me for the crime
Of apathy

Apathy apathy apathy apathy
I'm done with this song about, apathy

Not that it matters to you at all...but "Massive repitition, apathy" made me laugh out loud...=) Nice work, Ethan...

Like you care what I think. But I'll give it a five anyway, 'cause I've got nothing better to do.

Apathy might very well be the biggest problem in the western world today, but who gives a (bleep)...

It's ironic that I am bothering to vote, let alone comment about how much I enjoyed a song about apathy...
Rex - October 27, 2005 - Report this comment
The difference between ignorance and apathy? I don't know and I don't care. Marvelous concept well executed. You'll probably get lots of 5s for this as soon as the voters get around to it...

Honestly the least effort i'd spent on a parody since i parodied B-I-N-G-O, and i get the best response i've had in a while. There might be a lesson in this if i bothered to find it
