Original Performer:

Parody Song Title:

"Sandy O'Connor"

Parody Written by:

Michael Pacholek

The Lyrics

(instrumental opening)

Sandy O'Connor
stepping off the bench
leaving choice for Justice
in George Dubya's clench.
Who counts the voters
in the Sunshine State?
You gave Bush the margin
to pursue his hate.

Nineteen eighty-one, brought in by Reagan.
Eighty-seven, Bork was such a bum.
In two thousand, gave us vote that's achin'.
Here, now you run!

Sandy O'Connor
Arizona's best.
With that vote you should be placed
under arrest!

(instrumental break)

Here, now you run!

Sandy O'Connor
Rehnquist's still in bed.
Wonder what the hell's going on
in his head?

Antonin Scalia's right-wing fire.
Clarence Thomas' agreement's begun.
Bush will not appoint a Stephen Breyer.
Here, now you run!

Sandy O'Connor
walking out the door
don't let it hit you
in the posterior!

(instrumental close)
I tried to rhyme "Antonin Scalia's got some harsh words" with "Wish we had us two Ruth Bader Ginsburgs," but that wouldn't have worked.

Yeah, this basically summarizes Sandy D's time on the bench. Well done!

I think your assessment of Justice O'Connor is badly skewed, but the parody is funny. Perhaps you should consider reviewing all of Sandra's decisions. She agreed with your side as often as not. But one-issue thinking is epidemic. Oh well. I wonder why everyone has decided to do Sandy all of a sudden today? Anyway good parody! 555

Pooch, if it weren't badly skewed, it wouldn't be a Michael Pacholek parody.
