| Parody Song Title: | "Sounds Of Sinus" |
| Parody Written by: | Yoidy |
Hello Nyquil, my old friend
I've come to swallow you again
Because a pollen softly creeping
Made me sneeze while I was sleeping
And the Contac that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of sinus
In Rite Aid dreams I walked alone
The narrow aisles of Tums and Doanz
Beneath the solo of a muzak amp
I wiped my collar with the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed
By the flash of a discount light
That split the price
And touched the sound of sinus
And in the naked light I saw
Two dozen people, maybe more
People wheezing without coughing
People sneezing without blowing
People sharing germs that voices always bared
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of sinus
Fools, said I, you do not know
That sinus like a cancre grows
Hear my words that I may teach you
Take my hankie so I may reach you
But my words, like nasal droplets fell
And echoed
In the wells of sinus
And then the people bowed and prayed
To a nasal spray they made
And the spray squeezed out its warning
In the drops that it was forming
And the sign said
"The germs of the doctors are breeding
In the bathroom stalls
& test tube walls
And whispered
In the sound of sinus."
I've come to swallow you again
Because a pollen softly creeping
Made me sneeze while I was sleeping
And the Contac that was planted in my brain
Still remains
Within the sound of sinus
In Rite Aid dreams I walked alone
The narrow aisles of Tums and Doanz
Beneath the solo of a muzak amp
I wiped my collar with the cold and damp
When my eyes were stabbed
By the flash of a discount light
That split the price
And touched the sound of sinus
And in the naked light I saw
Two dozen people, maybe more
People wheezing without coughing
People sneezing without blowing
People sharing germs that voices always bared
And no one dared
Disturb the sound of sinus
Fools, said I, you do not know
That sinus like a cancre grows
Hear my words that I may teach you
Take my hankie so I may reach you
But my words, like nasal droplets fell
And echoed
In the wells of sinus
And then the people bowed and prayed
To a nasal spray they made
And the spray squeezed out its warning
In the drops that it was forming
And the sign said
"The germs of the doctors are breeding
In the bathroom stalls

And whispered
In the sound of sinus."

Hey Yoidy, this is like the same parody you did like a few months ago :-D Good one nonetheless.
A song after my own heart, or at least my nasal passages. :-D
Holy Dristan, Batman! A perfect score!

Ecksellend parody *sniff* I really god ah feel for dis. I enjoyed it bery buch. *ACHOO!*
I wrote "Sounds of Sinus" back around 1983-84, and I think Dr. Demento first aired it around 1990. I see someone did a spinoff of my song... a parody of a parody. Mark Young markyoung@chartermi.net
