The Lyrics

For those who don't know Operation Yewtree is, it even has its own wiki page now
Show's done, there's girls backstage
Some of them are over age
Just tryin' out the double beds
Bein' a rock star, feelin' groupies
Ba da da da da da da, feelin’ groupies

Decades later, much berating
And police investigating
What'cha mean, they're crimes, Yewtree?
Shouldn't've done that: gropin' groupies
Ba da da da da da da, gropin’ groupies

Although she says I did
And I say "No, not me"
I’m fingered, arrested, facing third degree
And there's other complainants, at least ninety-three
Life, it's over..
All them groupies

Ah - nothing like a group groupie grope to set one's foot a tapping.

Nice explanation from a third-person perspective Phil. It IS third person, right? :)

Started as groupies, became gropees. ended as gripees? In regard to your fictional scenario only:

"Grope, grope, grope all the groupies
Hand finds way to cleave'
Grope, grope, grope all the groupies
They chose not to leave..."
