Parody Song Title:

"What Kind of Tool Am I?"

Parody Written by:

Royce Miller

The Lyrics

What kind of tool am I, that never felt a glove?
It could be I'm the cordless drill that you've been dreaming of
Is there some power here?
Just charge me up
I want to buzz and wake a lot of people up
Is that a router blade, what kind of nail is this?
To put screws in some piece of wood, now that would bring me bliss
What can't I make sawdust, like a Makita, man?
I'd like to know what kind of tool I am

What kind of tool am I, I want a dirty glove
To grip me and to build something that I am worthy of
What kind of box is this? A tool box hell
A lonely metal box in which I hide so well
What kind of tool am I--what do I know of cords?
Why can't you put a bit on me, cause I am bored
Why can't I carve some meat, maybe a hunk of ham?
And maybe then I'll know what kind of tool I am

Craftsman, I'd say...And if this parody ever wears out, which it won't...but, you could return it to Sears for a brand new one..

For a parody about electrical equipment, this is really quite poignant and sad, Royce...as well as being clever and funny. Work that out....555

Kristof, sorry if I twisted a few of your wires; it is truly strange, but one that's not got any serious messages, at least none intended. Like AFW said, it could be returned, and maybe the sooner the better!

This parody can be read as a spiritual metaphor, too, since every human being has the potential to be a tool in the Hands of The Carpenter. Great job, Royce.

Royce: Very good, especially since there is the temptation to make that title be about something very different. Right, Johnny? AFW: In the immortal words of Robert Wuhl (from "Bull Durham"... Arwen...), "Sears sucks!"
