| Parody Song Title: | "Green Party Man" |
| Parody Written by: | Charlie Decker |
Although I am a Democrat politically, I sympathize with the Green Party, even if only to keep Dems honest ;-)
Everywhere I hear the talk 'bout Kerry, Clark and Dean, boy
'Cause '04's near and it's a shame that noone's voting green, boy.
Tell me what can a liberal do
Except vote for an old Democrat
'Cause in the U S of A there's just no place for a Green Party man!
No!
Hey! Nader had ideas, it's a shame everyone missed 'em
'Cause where I live the game that's played is a two-party system!
Tell me what can a liberal do
Except vote for an old Democrat
'Cause in the U S of A there's just no place for a Green Party man!
No!
Get down!
They, said we're just tree-hugging hippies
Though Dems may snort, we'll gain support from Maine to Mississippi!
Tell me what can a liberal do
Except vote for an old Democrat
'Cause in the U S of A there's just no place for a Green Party man!
No!
Get down!
'Cause '04's near and it's a shame that noone's voting green, boy.

Good parody Charlie. I think Nader is supporting Kucinich this time. But think of it this way. If Kerry gets elected it'll be worth it for us Green sympathizers to vote Democrat. As Dean says he represents the Democratic wing of the Democratic Party. And don't forget the Nader voters in Florida helped hand the Presidency to Bush.
It depends on how close the race is in whichever state you vote from. If Dean is winning by 30% over Bush in New York, why not vote Green? If he sees a lot of Green votes for him, he'll feel pressure to do some "green" things. I'm not saying I will vote Green or that you should; just something to ponder.
If the election looks close and the Dems might win, why not vote Green? This way we get 4 more years to kinda play up the victim thing and spread the good word.
With Ralph Nader officially a factor in the 2004 Presidential race, I'd like to retract my comments about voting green, independent or any other party. This is probably the most important election in the history of our nation. Vote Kerry 2004!
