| Parody Song Title: | "Puff, the Hip-Hop Daddy" |
| Parody Written by: | Bob Gomez |
This just in: P. Diddy's a sweatshop employer. Surprised?
Puff, the hip-hop Daddy
In N.Y.C.
He followed in the giant steps
Of Notorious B.I.G.
Puff, the hip-hop Daddy
In N.Y.C.
He followed in the giant steps
Of Notorious B.I.G.
Puffy got kick-started
As Biggie's protege
Then hooked up with that big-ass butt
That belonged to Lopez J.
J. Lo was enamored
Of his posse, crew and boys
Until they were indicted for
Making all that handgun noise, oh!
Puff, the hip-hop Daddy
In N.Y.C.
He followed in the giant steps
Of Notorious B.I.G.
Puff, the hip-hop Daddy
In N.Y.C.
He followed in the giant steps
Of Notorious B.I.G.
Puffy made a killing
When Biggie passed away
He ripped off Sting's tearjerker song
Went platinum in a day
Without his lifelong friend
Puff made heavy bucks
And started backing rappers who
Used words that rhyme with "truck," oh!
Puff, the hip-hop Daddy
In N.Y.C.
He followed in the giant steps
Of Notorious B.I.G.
Puff, the hip-hop Daddy
In N.Y.C.
He followed in the giant steps
Of Notorious B.I.G.
Puffy felt deflated
So he changed his name to P.
And manufactured spiffy duds
For the peeps in N.Y.C.
Business soon expanded
Greenbacks flowed like rain
And soon his label went worldwide
He was Number One again
Then one day it happened
The truth was press-released
Mackin' Diddy's tony threads
Cost about twelve cents apiece
Sweaters: fifty dollars
While workers made two bits
In Indonesia and Taiwan
Those sweatshops were the shits, oh!
Puff, the hip-hop Daddy
In N.Y.C.
He followed in the giant steps
Of Notorious B.I.G.
Puff, the hip-hop Daddy
In N.Y.C.
He followed in the giant steps
Of Notorious B.I.G.
Rap will live forever
But now P. Diddy's done
His lack of talent really shows
He no longer packs a gun
Furs and foxy women
In a fancy Escalade
They'll have to do until he finds
A legitimate stock in trade, oh
Puff, the hip-hop Daddy
In N.Y.C.
He followed in the giant steps
Of Notorious B.I.G.

Used words that rhyme with “truck,” oh!
This line rocks. Loved the whole parody Bob. Also loved the part with J Lo. LOLed a good one there. Another masterpiece by Mr Gomez.

The "words that rhyme with truck" line was my favorite, also. I also like the verses about the manufacture of his line of clothing. Very well written.
Very clever, and very enjoyable :-)
Really liked this one.
Now THAT was PHAT !!!
"Puffy felt deflated" was probably my fave but there were lots; great job though I think sweatshops provide valuable opportunities where they're most needed.
LOL!, Bob!
LOL
Very good stuff!
I'm already a fan of yours. This was great.
Absolute truckin' genius.
5/5
Thank you all for your kind comments. Someday when P. Diddy or Puff Daddy or Sean P. decides what his name is, Notorious B.I.G. will be recognized as one of the greatest lyric poets since Bob Dylan. Till then, keep on truckin'. d;:^)

This was very funny - well written.
I liked the line about the shiweatzshopz bein' the shiznits... Hmm, never knew Diddy was Biggie protege -- funny... and educational too!
