If you've seen my comments on the inthe00s.com message board, then you know I've been critical of NASA and their Space Program since last weekend's Columbia shuttle tragedy. And I've gotten flak from the other members and my co-workers. So here's my story, set to Neil Young's anti-drug parable.
They saw the tiles fall off the far left side.
They feared for their jobs so they would hide.
Ooh, ooh the damage done.
It hit the orbit and s*** hit the fan
I watch the shuttle lose 7 more men*
Gone, gone, the damage done.
I sing the song, for I love outer space
But I don't understand cost of human race
NASA said, "Let's not die out."
I've seen the shuttle and the damage done.
And space should be the life of everyone.
So every astronaut's like a settin' sun.
They feared for their jobs so they would hide.

*Actually 5 men and two women, bringing the combined fatalities of Columbia and Challenger to 10 men and 4 women, including would-be Challenger "teachernaut" Christa McAuliffe, 2 black astronauts, and an Israeli. ;(
