A very strange early experiment from the Prefab Four. I am probably the first (and hopefully the last) to try this "song".

Rick, you get 5's just for remembering this quirky little number. I think The Monkees were smoking their bananas that day. Zilch was sort of a precursor to The Beatles' You Know My Name (Look Up The Number).

Ah yes, Zilch, a silly bit of album filler. I'm surprised so many Amirighters know and remember this one. Cool! Maybe I should work something up to Band Six or Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky. (Ok, maybe not ;) )

("Maybe I should work something up to Band Six or Peter Percival Patterson's Pet Pig Porky. (Ok, maybe not ;) ) ") I'd much prefer "Randy Scouse Git", "Porpoise Song" or even "Can You Dig It?" :)

Didn't The Monkees open a mod boutique in Hollywood called Zilch, or is that just a Ubangi legend?

Melhi: I'm not surprised at all. I also think that it would be fun to try either the original or the parody (or both) live sometime.

David, not a myth. Zilch was Davy Jones' store, sort of -- he was helping out some good friends who'd put him up during Oliver!.
