The Lyrics

Use [M.I.L.F] as one word.
Ooh, I bet you're asking why I am blue,
It's 'bout these scans that I run through.
Most of the terms I've never heard before.
Between all 'breviations
Like [M.I.L.F] make me say d'oh.
It takes me by surprise I say, hey,
When I find out what it says.
You should know that....

Never heard through the grapevine,
I wish that knowledge would be mine.
Oh, never heard through the grapevine,
Wish someone would make a list so we could find.
Funny, funny yeah.

I know that your plan may compose to try,
But these ears want you to confide.
Amusin' you is what I do see,
Cause only nosy, that's me.
You always tell me yourself,
Or I'll ask someone else.
Instead....

Might hear it through the grapevine,
Meaning that word might soon mine.
Oh, might hear it through the grapevine,
Wish someone would make a list so we could find.
Funny, funny yeah.

People say take it with some salt of sea.
That's not me, not even near.
It gets pretty darn confused,
With initial-speak I do fear.
Well, wish I was in the know.
I wish I knew some what it stands for.
Don't you know.....

Might hear it through the grapevine,
Meaning that word might soon mine.
Oh, might hear it through the grapevine,
Wish someone would make a list so we could find.
Funny, funny yeah.

This OS has been one I've wanted to do for a while. What I want to know is why "abbreviation" is such a long word, lol. If ever in need of a non-standard or unfamiliar one, try urban dictionary.com. Nice work, Pat!

Thanks alvin, John, Jack and TJC.

Jack, I tried the Urban dictionary and didn't have much luck.

Very clever stuff, Pat...only criticism is pace-related and might have been an editing oversight...I think your line "Meaning that word might soon mine." should say, "Meaning that word might soon be mine" and it's in a couple places...I actually SHOULD have scored this "4-5-5", but in one of those "force of habit" moments I clicked "5-5-5" since I've almost NEVER known you to miss on pace in the almost 200 parodies you've posted here...anymore, very funny, and not necessarily undeserving straight 5's, but I know you would ding me or at least point it out under reversed circumstances so I must do the same for you.

Thanks Lionel and Paul.

Paul, I remember looking at that sentence...'Meaning that word might soon mine' and thinking...that is wrong!! Parts I think I did slip some on the pacing, but I'm glad for everyone's response, esp. since I don't usually write this type of parody. Watch out for the hush puppies. lol
