Song Parodies -> "California Schemin'"

Original Song Title:

"California Dreamin'"

Original Performer:

Mamas And Papas

Parody Song Title:

"California Schemin'"

Parody Written by:

Guy DiRito

The Lyrics

Unlike Jerry Brown, there's this guy named Gray,
Many will just walk, but the winner stays.
There's gonna be a storm much to Gray's dismay.
California schemin' please for the winner pray.

Don't forget John Birch, he had a lot to say.
And while others cut the cheese a few transcend the fray.
You know there's speeches to be told,
Who knows what will they say.
California's screamin', they've fallen to the prey.

(INSTRUMENTAL)

Who will wear the crown that belonged to Gray?
Who will take that walk on the winner's day?
And all those bottom dwellers should be on their way.
California's dreamin' for someone new today.
California's dreamin' for someone new today.
California's dreamin' for someone new today.

Didn't I already do "California Screamin'" on the same topic? Though I gotta give credit for sneaking John Birch into the song -- though we'll never know if the man believed as the Society did, buncha loons.
