Those cool grill cafes drinking ales and eating well were fun,
But now pork rinds at Joes with that swill drip on and on.
What do you think this day as I awaken to these crawdads we consume?
They're just so greasy as they fry.

I just wanted them dry with good white hot cross buns in butter,
And score some thousand island dressing; Don't slurp your grub.

The time has come for cooking books and long lost cooks to blend,
And as we eat I know I am eating as I intend.
Intend it hot and light not tongue in cheek nor strong,
There's a lot can burn, so then what I don't like I'll return.

Think your needing a spoon, I would try some ala carte,
But I would rather you would avoid the carp; Don't slurp your grub.
