What a day for an Egg Cream
It's a drink that I'm gonna enjoy
Now I'll order an Egg Cream
From my own soda fountain of joy

And all the things you'll need so it's not lame
Just go to the store and purchase a two-cents plain
Some farm-fresh whole milk will make your mood feel light
And Fox's U-Bet, but make sure to mix it just right

There's no eggs in an egg cream
And no cream but it's a treat any day
With chocolate mixed in, a sweet thing
And nothing else can make me feel this way

You pour in the milk at first and seltzer next
And then about four teaspoons of Fox's ole' U-Bet
And in a chilled pilsner glass mix with a tall spoon
And you've got an Egg Cream that will make your friends swoon

And you can be sure that if you're feeling right
An Egg Cream's delicious any day or at night
Tomorrow at breakfast you can drink it and yet,
You'll never get sick of milk, a shpritz, and U-Bet
