was a boy, a little boy, shooting sparrows, yes it's true
and I had a daisy air gun, and I shot them, through and through
killed first one, then did two
and I knew when they were hit
cause they fell off of the wire
and they chirped a little bit

there was some that fell out of the blue
shooting sparrows was fun so I'd do..
loading my gun again
darts within them again

little sparrows on the clothesline
little sparrows on the grass
little sparrows that I head shot
and some others in the @ss
little sparrows that I hit once
some I hit them once again
when they dropped I checked my scope
and then I found another then
oh oh oh the pain....

some would fly, and others not,
there was nothing they could do
when I hit them in the feathers
there was nothing they could do
little birds with no escape,
for my mad and nasty deed
cause I lured them all so close now
with some scattered little seed


then they'd come, flying in from the blue
shooting sparrows was fun, so I'd do
shooting them once again
getting them yes again
