Parody Song Title:

"My Favorite Words"

Parody Written by:

Bob Gomez

The Lyrics

to lovers of words everywhere
"Hocking" and "loogie" and "snotrag" and "splatter"
"Humping" and "bonking" and "fisting" and "bladder"
"Farting" and "belching" and "rolfing" and "turds"
These are a few of my favorite words!

Prednisone, Cortisone, Sudafed, Tylenol,
Lipitor, Prozac, Prevacid and Midol,
Drugs for my asthma and drugs for my GERD;
Medical terms are sensational words!

"Sinusitis"
"Urethritis"
"Rectal herpes," too--
They help me when talking to doctors about
My "scrotal disease"--
Too true!

Yiddish expressions like "kreplach" and "tchotchkes"
I enjoy eating my shiksa with latkes
Dim sum or sushi or tapas hors d'oeuvres,
Foods are incredible edible words!

Latinates help me to sound intellectual
That's why they call me the "bilingosexual"
"Geeks" I love, "freaks" I love, "dweebs," also "nerds"
New combinations of favorite words!

"Bush-whacking," "tush-smacking," "Oil Slick Dick" Cheney,
Wolfowitz, Rumsey with comments so zany,
Turkmen and Shiites and Sunnis and Kurds,
Wars are a source of insanely great words!

When my songs bite,
Ain't no big thing,
That's an easy fix--
I simply recycle my favorite words,
That's one of my faaaaave-
Rite tricks!

"Cellulite," "ephedrine," "G-strings" and "cheddar"
"Numbnuts" and "lugnuts" and "toe-lick" and "bed her"
This cunning linguist enjoys the absurd
Wonderful marvelous world of the word!

"F#@!ing" and "s#@!ing" and "*sshole" and "beaver"
All words are holy to this non-believer
Censorship, shmensorship, that's for the birds,
I pledge allegiance to freedom of words!

# signs and @ signs that stand for obscenities,
Abbreviations are welcome amenities,
ROFLMAO, LOL, meanings inferred;
Neatly condensing more favorite words--

So, my Net friends,
To beget friends,
Be more tol'rant, please--
And if you have need of some frickin' great words,
Just borrow a few
Of these!
©Bob "Did I mention I was an English major?" Gomez 2003 The coolest
part of writing this was adding about 25 words to my spell-check.
Awww, yeah!

The paceophiles might get you for a couple of lines, but fist 'em. This is spankdankerous.

I agree. This is superloogieplopperifficsphincterwallygomez. And I really mean that.

Absolutely glorificently splendorful, to join the trend. By the way, as a lover of words and new sources thereof, you really ought to check out The Jargon Dictionary at http://info.astrian.net/jargon, a huge compilation of hacker slang. It's a wonderful read.

MS WINDOWS 2003 has an 'in da hood' version. MS WORD is being marketed as WORD-UP in this edition. Did you have something to do with this Bob? For something so much about words, this parody has me speechless. Really great write Bob as usual.

No, Guy, I wish I did. Thanks for the good word. Neminem, most of that hacker slang is beyond me, but I'll have a look at it. Claude, I'm honored. I only wish that word could fit on my gravestone. Spaff, would you mind fisting 'em for me? It's just that my hand is--oh, uh---really big. Adam ZB--I'm so glad you caught the joke! Can you name the Woody Allen movie I stole it from? Melhi, Johnny, words cannot express my thanks. Wait, they just did. Thanks again, all! d;:^)

I don't have any idea why, but "schism" is one of my favorite words. It's just cool I think. Now, some people would dock you points for not including their favortie word, but I'm not one of them. 555 for you, and I think I smell another topm 10 song.

Great job, Bob! (Though I almost docked you a point for failing to use the word "bugger".)
Bob Gomez - December 06, 2003 - Report this comment
Okay, okay. Enough already. Here goes nothing: "Bugger" and "schism" and Spaffer's "spankdankerous," "Sphincter" and "plopper" and also "cantankerous" Prefixes, suffixes affixed to verbs Neologisms make crackin' good words! d;:^)

This is off the scale! 47-47-47 at least. I´m gonna need until January to recover my own writing selfconfidence after this.

BTW: Here´s a new term (originated from a sf-fandom friend of mine) that I haven´t been able to work into a song yet, but you probably could anyday. When a movie´s love scene(s) dialouge is really crappy, it can be referred to as being "georgelucasy", though I guess "being gigli" has a better chance of reaching common use. :-)

Bob, you even make obsenity hilarious!

I'd vote 6-6-6, but alas, I am a believer. So you majored in English? With your milky vocabulary, you could become a... Prof o' Lactic! Your colourful language should attract many a bird, leading to... Colouredfornication! And may I ask you a coition? How come I have to resort to leeching off your successfully accessed parodies for anyone to read my PUNishable humour? (PS. I got the cunning linguist joke and I'm only 15! Hoorah for a guy with no arms knowing how to play on monkey bars!)

Though I might not have cared for some of the racier favorites on your list, this song was funny and generally well-written. I did have to knock a few points off the pacing category for those last two stanzas though: 3-5-4!

I am beyond thrillified to have rediscovered this spankdankerous gem. Seriously, I had forgotten all about it. Thanks very much to Peter for unearthing it.
