Grunts and stunts and working late.
The cafeteria food I hate.
I seem consigned unto this fate.
I've looked at work that way.
But since the day I got promote
this paperwork's shoved down my throat.
I can't make this department float.
Am I better off today?

From low to high, and still somehow
it's work's illusions I recall.
I really don't know work at all.

Fuss and bus on my commute.
My IBM just won't compute.
The manager says, "Don't get cute."
I've looked at work that way.
But now I can afford to drive
but in this traffic, who can thrive?
And paperwork will still arrive.
Seems like more everyday.
