The Lyrics

The Simpsons Parodies Continue. This time a tribute to the Springfield Bartender: Moe Szyslak
Hey Moe!
Drunks you’re serving with that booze in your hand
Hey Moe!
You know, Beer is flowing with some Duff in that glass
Working to intoxicate Barney
You know NASA calculated his bar tab, Yeah
While Moe might not be charming
He works hard cracking lids on the beer cans
Yeah, He looks like a ghoul

Uh, Hey Moe!
You never smile but you always frown
You’re feeling down now
Hey Moe!
You have the sketchiest bar in town
Rats are found it’s unsound, Yeah

You’re sick of prank callers
He hates when kids mess around is “Mike Rotch” found?
There’s a ton of laughter
Then Moe makes a threat that he’ll pound down!
He will grab his shotgun
And slaughter

At Moe’s there’s no last call, Lenny!
Go chug some Duff

Hey Moe!
Doesn’t have no liquor now, Those bottles are cardboard
Hey Moe!
Wants to give out hefty bar tabs, Never, Never has booze slow
Just drink it!

Shove beer in your mouth
Or have a Flaming Moe, Midge
He has no wine or stout
So grab Duff if you want to drink
Moe’s Tavern may not be clean
And he’s a wicked gremlin
But he’s the best bartender in Springfield see
Though he might creep the chicks out
Since he is lowbrow
Hey, Hey Moe!
Duffman will stop by now
And he’ll start the party
Hey! Hey! Moe!
Duff I’ll down!

Great work on this one Matt. Lots of great lines and subs. Barney/Bar Tab stood out and I'm glad Mike Rotch got in there. BAM.

What makes work more than anything (in this quite old parody) is the drunken/blissed out ad libs you subbed.

I love the Simpsons, I love Moe, and surprisingly I've never heard this OS all the way through. I was mostly familiar with the first verse. Nicely done getting a lot of references in there!

(Artistry) I'm not hugely into The Simpsons, but I'm vaguely familiar with Moe. I caught a few references here and there, but I'm sure tons were lost on me. Glad I got the "Mike Rotch" one! That's gotta be the most famous one, right! Overall solid, but most of the humor was out of my knowledge. It's seems like Simpson fans love it!
