Parody Song Title:

"Egg-Layer's Farm"

Parody Written by:

Paul Robinson

More 'Farm Follies' with JTull and company...The 'cluckers' in this piece have the misfortune of working for a rather "Hard-Boiled" Farmer ~ ~ ~
(Instrumental intro)

Your laying chickens
egg production's been going down
'clucking-off' appears rampant
lazy chickens have been found
They can't fool me
'Cause I count all their lays
And when their numbers are not too high
some of them just might have to die
At "Egg-Layer's Farm"
Dumb 'clucks' may come to harm

I feed those chickens
to make some bucks
If they don't produce
they'll be sorry 'clucks'
If you eat my feed
you'd better lay some eggs
You might end up at Foster Farms
Yeah, as 'frying chickens'
you may sense alarm
and then suffer harm
("Waaak")

(Instrumental break)
{Casual pace indicates chickens are not yet taking the threat seriously}

When you eat my feed
you had better lay
I won't keep you around
if you do not pay
and you'd better stop all your 'clucking-off'
'Cause I count what you lay
You'd better mind your task now, chicken
make your egg-quota every day, now
or I'll ship you off, yeah
off to Foster Farms...

(Long Instrumental jam to end)
{Frantic Flute and other instrumentals here indicates the increased urgency as the chickens realize the gravity of their situation and start trying to force out eggs faster & faster}

'counting the lays' and "egg-quota" were my favorite bits. The whole concept was great.

adagio...Yeah, I decided it would be WAY TOO confusing to try to shoe-horn those into the written post format...alvin...yeah, I was 'clucking' surprised and pleased at how that part of it came out...I need to try and re-do the WORD lyrics a bit...it was only my 2nd try at it and I missed a couple spots on the recording...but I don't know if I can re-create the "chicken" sounds...Thanks, Phil...& Red...clucking back atcha' carol ~ ~ ~
