| Parody Song Title: | "Ain't-ya-got-a-lot-of-Velveeta?" |
| Parody Written by: | Ol' John Brown |
It was a warm, breezey summer night. Rupert and I had drank a little too much 'shine. He looks up at me all glassy eyed and says: "Why don't ye play that Iron Butterfly song ye like so well -- Ain't-ya-got-a-lot-of-Velveeta or whatever it's called" thus a parody was born . . .
Ain't-ya-got-a-lot-of-Velveeta, honey,
and some 'maters and some lettice too?
Ain't-ya-got-a-lot-of-Velveeta, baby,
and some Columbian coffee to brew?
Oh, won't you slice the cheese?
Forget about that Spam!
Oh, won't you slice the cheese
And put it in this pan?
Please take my ham!

Lather, rinse, repeat. You left out several verses. I'll have to leave out several numbers from the score. Otherwise pretty fair lyrics.
I love the song you parodied. I could play that song for seventeeen minutes and five seconds if I wanted to. The pacing was kinda off in that "ain't ya got a lot of Velveta" line, but otherwise you aced it. BTW, to the oither guy: There is only one verse in the entire song, it is repeated, then a solo the length of a Britney Spears concert, then that same verse all over again!
