Song Parodies -> "Planets in the Night"

Original Song Title:

"Strangers in the Night"

Original Performer:

Frank Sinatra

Parody Song Title:

"Planets in the Night"

Parody Written by:

Royce Miller

The Lyrics

Planets in the night expelling gases
Neptune, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus
Toxic gas cocktail
Both night and day they spew

Something in the skies smells of ammonia
Liquid hydrogen, methane and helium
What gigantic farts
Oh what a gas ball stew

Planets in the night, there are no people
They are gas balls in the night
They belch and foment
Oh the clouds that they bellow
Little do we know
Earth's a perfect place to play
I guess that it was planned that way and

Somewhere in the night they hang together
Sharing their own plight, gassy forever
Things turned out so ripe
For planets in the night

I hear Pluto has a lot of gas too, if Mickey feeds him from the table. Good parody. 555

Royce, are you saying that those other planets have more belching and farting than the earth does? Well expressed, especially the last verse.

John J, the planets I named are called the gaseous planets, I think that's the right term; anyhow, they're in a category all their own. I'm not a big scientist, but that's my story and I'm stickin' to it.
